Sometimes you just get one of those emails that makes you feel all sorta fuzzy inside and makes you think, "hmm... I really do like my job." Here is a little somethin' from one of our Amigos, Brent D.
"Salsa Crew- I just wanted to drop you guys a line and tell you that you are doing a fantastic job. I just got back from yet another moonlight ride on my Caballero and could not be happier. The bike is an absolute blast to ride and it has yet to leave me without a post-ride smile. The new 2005 lineup looks amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on a Dos Niner. Keep up the good work!"
Lifelong Salsa Fan, Brent D.
If you had a bike this nice, you would be smilin' too.

Keep those emails comin' kids, and if we post your bike photos and emails, we will send you a kickass T shirt!!! Later.

Hey Kids,
Here is a little product update for you. We have so many new products in the works right now, and the Crew here at Salsa is already hard at work on 2006. However, we have to remember, you folks haven't even seen 2005 yet. Well, once the new year rolls around you can expect to see the new 2005 Salsa Scandium and Steel frames hitting your local bikeshop's sales floor.
Scandium Frames: Due in bike shops February 1. See all the new favorites like the Salsa Dos Niner 29" Softtail with 1" of rear wheel travel thanks to the beautifully designed chainstays and the Salsa Relish rear shock. Also, check out the new Moto Rapido hardtail and Juan Solo singlespeed frame, both which utilize the new Salsa Carbones carbon seatstays for a smooth, silky ride. For you speed freaks, Salsa introduces it first ever TT-Triathlon bike, the El GoGo. All dressed up in two-tone red paint, you'll look fast standing still.
Yes, the ole standby's Campeon road frames and Las Cruces cross frames will be available(and are in stock right now) as well.
Steel Frames: The steel frames are seeing an upswing in popularity again, and we can expect even greater sales thanks to the new classic paint jobs on the Salsa Ala Carte and La Raza frames. Look for deep red and Tang orange colors with panel decals. You should see these in your local shop sometime around March 1.
Salsa Pro Scandium S.U.L. stems: The long anticipated Salsa Scandium stems will be available in January. It took us a while to get them as perfect as we like and I think you will be glad we took the time because this is one kicka.. stem!!! Not only is it light (110mm = 134g) it is extremely strong! Betcha can't wait. More to come... Later Amigos. Gotta caffeine up so I can cope with this crappy Minnesota weather we're having today. Crap.. now my iPod battery is dying. -chuck

Those of you in the Old World, be sure to check out the new issue of Bike Sport (Germany). They've got a review of the Las Cruces that to our non-German eyes appears very favorable! Actually, the mini-translation I got said..."lightweight" "Scandium" "very nice looking" and "the darling of the test group".
Props to our man Gerhard of Cosmic Sports for getting us some play over there. Thanks dude.

El Dia de Los Muertos
or
The Day of The Dead
By some strange, or perhaps fortunate, coincidence, November 2nd happens to be both election day in the USA and the official El Dia de Los Muertos. Now don't try to read my political motivations into this, cuz you'll most likely get 'em wrong, but do consider taking the following steps tomorrow.
1) Go vote. For whomever you choose. But make the effort to vote. And from the sound of it, voting tomorrow might truly seem like effort. Be prepared to stand in line. Bring your headphones and listen to some tunes while you wait. Be friendly.
Later that day...
2) Paint your face with a funky skull pattern or wear a cool skull mask and hang out with friends.
3) Dance around like nuts for at least a few minutes to put it all to rest for a while.
4) Think about some of your deceased relatives or friends. Wish them well. Consider what they added to your life.
Truth be told, life goes on after tomorrow. Regardless of who wins the election. There will still be good times and tough times. And there will still be bike rides to be had. To help lighten your spirits, here is a sneak preview of one of our new jerseys for 2005. Available January 2005. Stay tuned for a children's version as well!
Behold....El Dia de Los Muertos!
