Spring Is Sprung

Wahooo! 60+ degrees outside in Minneapolis right now and nothing but blue sky overhead. I've seen two cardinals and a blue jay from my window today (I was doing some serious thinking mind you!). A few flecks of green grass are starting to sprout and my strawberry plants at home are emerging from the layer of mulch I put down last Fall. The cycle of life, eh? There is nothing finer.

Last week I had a great vacation up on MN's north shore. Lots of snow in the woods still. I'd say a good 4 feet still. Did a little XC skiing and snowshoeing with my lady and Jordan. And some flat out relaxing as well. It is a very beautiful place...God's country.

But down here in the cities, it is our first taste of the Spring to come, so here is a celebratory haiku.

Springtime nearly here.
Funky smelling gray longjohns.
Your days are over.

Get outside and enjoy the fresh air, folks. Winter could be back tomorrow!
