May The Day Treat You Well
Five years ago today I rode my bike in to work on an incredibly beautiful, early fall morning. It was absolutely stunning. The sun was out. The skies clear and bright.
I arrived at work and took a shower and headed to my desk. Ed saw me and knowing I was an NPR listener asked if I'd heard the knews that a 747 had crashed into the World Trade Center in New York.
Of course we all know the course of the rest of that day. A brutal and ugly day in history.
But I'll still remember that it was beautiful morning when I rode in.
Take a minute to think of those that lost their lives that day and wish their families peace today. It is the smallest thing you can do for them and I believe it can do some good.
