What's In A Name?

The Blackthorn name is inspired by the blackthorn tree, known as the Mother of the Woods and a symbol of surmounting obstacles. Its rough, gnarly appearance represents the terrain Blackthorn was meant for, and the tree’s strong yet flexible qualities match the ride characteristics we built into Blackthorn.
