Cutthroat Force 1 was designed to obliterate long-distance cycling route records, and employs the most responsive SRAM parts of any model in this family of all-road bikes. The crankset, seatpost and handlebar are all carbon fiber, shaving off those last few critical grams when you need maximum speed and endurance. Class 5 VRS

The Class 5™ Vibration Reduction System has specially shaped seatstays with a tall, thin, vertically oriented profile that promotes vertical compliance by allowing the seatstays to "flex" outwards on impacts. The horizontally oriented chainstays work to resist torque and maintain a laterally stiff rear end. The seatstays and chainstays lack bridges, furthering the full length of the stays to contribute to flexibility. And a rear thru-axle delivers precise tracking while allowing the seatstays to provide that incredible compliance 

Interior Junction Control Molding Technology

We use interior molds at all the main front triangle junctions during layup and curing. This allows for precise control of wall thickness and inner wall smoothness in these areas. This process increase compaction and reduces voids and wrinkles in critical high-stress zones. The end result is a top-quality carbon frame that delivers consistent high performance

Cutthroat Carbon Fork

Full carbon fork with a tapered 1-1/8 to 1-1/2" steerer tube for confidence-inspired tracking through the tough stuff. Massive tire clearance, up to 29 x 3" tires. 15 x 100mm thru-axle and Salsa-designed carbon layup for frame matching compliance. 74mm post-mount style brake mount. 160 to 200mm disc brake rotor compatible. Internal wire routing for dynamo hub light systems

Cutthroat Geometry

We took what we’ve learned from our tried and true drop bar mountain bike geometry and updated it for speed. 445mm chainstays will get you up and over everything from technical singletrack trails, two-track, gravel, and long desolate paved roads quickly, while still preserving the stability and comfort endurance riders need to keep at it day after day. Designed for optimized fit with the Salsa Cowchipper or Woodchipper Bars
