Fargo Geometry
Fargo is our original drop-bar mountain bike, optimized for fit with flared drop bars. Redesigned for 32" wheels, it rolls faster and features more stability and traction than ever for traversing mixed terrain predictably, with or without a load. This is the bike for covering lots of ground on mixed-surface excursions ranging from technical singletrack trails to two-track, gravel to the occasional paved road. Fargo 32 also features multi-fit geometry which prioritizes drop-bar fit with short stems, allowing for easier adaptation to flat-bar fit.
Four sizes
Fargo 32 comes in sizes SM–XL, designed to bring the ride experience of 32" wheels to riders as short as 5′2″.
Alternator 1.0 UDH Flat Mount dropouts
Our renowned Alternator 1.0 rear dropout grants you ultimate drivetrain versatility. Fargo comes equipped with fixed-position Boost-spaced thru-axle plates that are compatible with SRAM UDH, flat-mount brakes, and rear racks. Different Alternator plates (sold separately) allow for different drivetrain setups — including single speed — and an adjustable rear center.
Belt drive compatible
Tested and certified for belt drive use
Cargo friendly
Fargo 32 can carry all you need for long-haul Adventure by Bike. The frame is designed for use with Salsa Alternator Plus Rack 135/142/148 in the rear with our Lift Kit (sold separately). The frame also features bottle cage mounts (SM: 1; MD: 2; LG–XL: 3) and a downtube accessory mount. The fork features two sets of Three-Pack mounts.
FAQ
Can I run wheel sizes other than 32" on this frameset
No, this frame was designed exclusively around 32" wheels and tire sizes 50mm-2.4"
Can I run flat bars on this frame?
Yes, this frame features our Multi-Fit geometry; designed around drop bars and 50-70mm stems, allowing for flat bars with 70-90mm or longer stems.
Can I use a suspension fork on this frame?
Yes, this frame was designed around 32", 80mm travel suspension forks.
How often should I service the Alternator Dropouts?
We recommend that you disassemble the alternator dropouts annually, clean all parts and reassemble using an assembly lubricant and blue threadlocker on hardware. Torque bolts to specifications found in the Alternator instructions.
Do you offer touch-up paint?
No, we do not offer touch up paint. Hobby shops or automotive stores are excellent places to find paint. We suggest you test the paint on a scrap piece of metal before using it on your frame.
I crashed and dented (or cracked) my frame. Is it safe to ride?
Stop riding your frame immediately and take it to the nearest Salsa authorized dealer for inspection. A dented or cracked tube represents a structural weakening of the frame, and is a safety risk.
